Madeleine Major (née Piché)
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 4, at the age of 86. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Alain, her sister Cécile and her brothers Bruno and René. Loving mother of Louise (Alain Desrochers), Nicole (Gilles Couturier), Guy (Lynne Gauthier-Major) and Joanne (Damien Morin). She was the cherished grandmother of: François, Mathieu, Nicolas, Maxime, Marc-André, Guillaume, Amélie, Samuel and Luc. The family would like to thank the countless friends and family for all of their support and love over the years. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Centre d'accueil Champlain of Ottawa for their compassionate care of Madeleine. A Celebration of Madeleine's life will be held on Saturday, May 9, at 11:00 a.m.at the St-Jean Baptiste Church in Verner, ON. The family will be present to receive condolences at 10:30am and would like to welcome everyone to the Reception hall following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Auxilliaires du Centre d'accueil Champlain of Ottawa or to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
Décédée paisiblement entourée de sa famille le 4 avril 2015, à l’âge de 86 ans. Elle fut prédécédée par son époux bien-aimé Alain Major ainsi que par ses frère Bruno et René et sa sœur Cécile. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Louise (Alain Desrochers), Nicole (Gilles Couturier), Guy (Lynne Gauthier-Major) et Joanne (Damien Morin). Elle fut la grand-mère adorée de 9 petits-enfants: François, Mathieu, Nicolas, Maxime, Marc-André, Guillaume, Amélie, Samuel et Luc. La célébration de la vie de Madeleine aura lieu à l'Église St-Jean Baptiste de Verner, ON, samedi le 9 mai 2015 à 11h00. La famille recevra les condoléances à l'église à compter de 10h30. La famille désire remercier le personnel du Centre d’accueil Champlain pour les bons soins prodigués à leur mère pendant toutes ces années. Vos marques de sympathie peuvent se traduire en un don aux Auxiliaires du Centre d'accueil Champlain d’Ottawa ou à la Société Alzheimer.
