Dorothy Norma Wright

Dorothy passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus, March 21, 2017. Beloved wife of Whitman (predeceased), and cherished mother of Tom, Marcia and Doug, grandmother of Jessica (Tom Woods), Michael (Tanya) and Kevin Wright, and godmother of Dona Brown. Dorothy will be remembered for her compassionate nature; her love of nature, animals, art, theatre and music; and her many friendships and connection to her church. Her family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude for the care and compassion Dorothy received from Dr. Meulemeester and staff of the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus Neurology Department. Friends are invited to visit at the Unitarian Church, 30 Cleary Avenue on Sunday, April 2 from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in Worship Hall. Donations in memory of Dorothy can be made to either the Ottawa Humane Society, 245 W Hunt Club Road, Nepean, Ontario K2E 1A6; or to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation, 40 Ruskin Street, Room H-2408, Ottawa, Ontario K1Y 4W7.
