Rhonda Jane Bunke (nee Balharrie)

December 3, 1945 – May 16, 3017

A kind and gentle woman that is in a far, far better place than she has ever been before. A loving wife of 51 years to Gordon. A tenaciously caring and protective mother of Trevor (Heather) of Ottawa and Grant (Carmen) of Burlington, ON. A proud and devoted grandmother to Anna, Kadence, Quinn and Trey of Ottawa and Andrew of Burlington, ON. Rhonda was predeceased by her parents Osmer and Veda Balharrie of Ottawa and is survived by her sister Sandra Budge and her brother David Balharrie of Ottawa. The family wishes to thank the incredible and caring staff at the Ottawa Hospital – Civic Campus B5 where Rhonda was so lovingly cared for during her prolonged stay as well as the doctors and nurses of the Bruyere Palliative Care 5th Floor Unit. As per Rhonda’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has already taken place. Donations in Rhonda’s name to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation or the Bruyere Palliative Care Unit would be greatly appreciated.
