Wilma Elizabeth Labelle-Paul

Wilma “Willie” LaBelle Paul passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14th, 2017 at the young age of 61. Wilma is survived by her husband Danny Paul; children, Steven Magrum, Jason Magrum and Michelle Paul; loving sister Alice LaBelle and brother Gib LaBelle. She is preceded in death by parents Eileen LaBelle and Alexander LaBelle; sister Lois LaBelle. Wilma was born on August 27, 1956 in Ottawa, Ontario. She married Danny Paul in 1993 at The Mackay United Church. In her earlier days, Wilma loved travelling and playing baseball. She was hardworking, caring, generous and considerate to all who knew her. Throughout the years, she had several health issues she overcame. Never did she complain. She went through days, months, years with positivity and killed anything that came her way with laughter, love and surrounding herself with family. Wilma was extremely grateful to all the nurses and doctors she’s met along the way who took great care of her. Wilma was in her happy place when surrounded by family, especially her grandchildren, all 11 of them. Christmas Eve gatherings were always hosted by Wilma and the smile on her face when the big bushy Christmas Tree was lit up, the presents all wrapped and the kids running around was one we’ll never forget. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 at First Memorial Services (259 St. Patrick St. Ottawa, ON).
